The Freedom Of Information Act CDS Group of the Osun state NYSC has organized a sensitization outreach for pupils and students of High Class School, Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event took place on Thursday, 23rd, June 2022 as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the corps members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the event, President of the Freedom Of Information Act CDS Group, Boripe Local Government, Nelson Usunobun Ojo encouraged students and pupils alike to cultivate a reading habit as it widens their knowledge horizons and increases their chances of living qualitative lives in the long-run. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said “Our reading culture in this nation leaves so much to be desired, explaining the unrefined mentality that many citizens carry around. That’s why it’s important that you upcoming generations do better than we older ones by building-up this habit as early on as possible”<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n The keynote speaker for the outreach, Abanikanda Aishat Oluwakemi on her part emphasized that today’s globalised village rewards the informed not the ignorant, urging the young lads to denounce ignorance with knowledge acquisition through books. <\/p>\n\n\n\n According to her, consistent reading sharpens a young mind and prepares it for consequent life stages when reading skills are very much essential for survival and success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “As the saying goes – readers are leaders.
