{"id":24823,"date":"2024-10-15T11:30:33","date_gmt":"2024-10-15T11:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=24823"},"modified":"2024-10-15T11:30:35","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T11:30:35","slug":"history-of-emmanuel-alayande-college-of-education-yo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/history-of-emmanuel-alayande-college-of-education-yo\/","title":{"rendered":"History of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, yo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Federal Polytechnic Ohodo (<strong>FEDPOD<\/strong>) is a public institution owned by the Federal government of Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was established in the year 2021 under the administration of the then President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pioneer Principal Officers of the Polytechnic led by the&nbsp;<strong>Rector, Professor Edwin Onyeneje<\/strong>, were appointed on 16<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;day of March, 2021. The pioneer Governing Council of the Institution which had&nbsp;<strong>Chief Dr. Sylva Ameh<\/strong>&nbsp;as its Chairman, was inaugurated on 18<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;day of January, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Polytechnic Ohodo inherited the former premises of the Community Secondary School Ohodo, in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, as the Take-off campus with the gracious approval of the Government of Enugu State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Permanent Site, seated on a land size of over 105 hectres is in close proximity to the Take-off site, all within the same Ohodo community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the establishment of the Institution the Council, Management and staff have been working tirelessly to put the necessary facilities in place to ensure a smooth take-off of academic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: fedpod.edu.ng<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Federal Polytechnic Ohodo (FEDPOD) is a public institution owned by the Federal government of Nigeria.
