{"id":25220,"date":"2024-10-28T15:58:34","date_gmt":"2024-10-28T15:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=25220"},"modified":"2024-10-28T15:58:37","modified_gmt":"2024-10-28T15:58:37","slug":"call-for-applications-ncdmb-undergraduate-essay-competition-for-nigerian-students-n2-2-million-cash-prize-with-laptops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/call-for-applications-ncdmb-undergraduate-essay-competition-for-nigerian-students-n2-2-million-cash-prize-with-laptops\/","title":{"rendered":"Call For Applications: NCDMB Undergraduate Essay Competition For Nigerian Students (N2.2 million cash prize with Laptops)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NCDMB National Undergraduate Essay Competition sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is designed to promote the Nigerian Content (NC) initiative and create the awareness for Nigerians to build local capacity to participate effectively in Nigerian\u2019s Oil and Gas industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 Essay Topic is:&nbsp;<strong>NIGERIAN CONTENT AND OPPORTUNITIES IN AFRICAN LOCAL CONTENT ADVANCEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established in 2010 by the Nigerian\u00a0Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act.\u00a0NCDMB is vested with the mandate to make procedures that will guide, monitor, coordinate and implement the provisions of the NOGICD Act signed into law on April\u00a022,\u00a02010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation for NCDMB was laid in 2001 when former President Olusegun Obasanjo inaugurated the Presidential Committee on Local Content in the Oil and Gas Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This contest is open only to\u00a0<strong>100-200 level students<\/strong>\u00a0in public and private Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria \u2013 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/msmeafricaonline.com\/call-for-applications-ncdmb-undergraduate-essay-competition-for-nigerian-students-n2-2-million-cash-prize-with-laptops\/#\">\u00a0Education<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The competition opens on the\u00a0<strong>16th of September 2024<\/strong>.\u00a0Completed manuscripts and accompanying documents must be submitted to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ncdmbessay.ng\/\"><strong>www.ncdmbessay.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on or before\u00a0<strong>14th October, 2024<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Late manuscripts will not be considered. Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted. competition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Prizes will be awarded as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>N1,000,000 for 1st place,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>N700,000 for 2nd place,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>N500,000 for 3rd and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All top 10 national finalists shall each receive a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/msmeafricaonline.com\/call-for-applications-ncdmb-undergraduate-essay-competition-for-nigerian-students-n2-2-million-cash-prize-with-laptops\/#\">\u00a0laptop<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The
