{"id":25284,"date":"2024-10-31T15:18:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T15:18:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=25284"},"modified":"2024-10-31T15:18:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T15:18:48","slug":"icp-connect-study-scholarships-vlir-ous-in-belgium-2025-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/icp-connect-study-scholarships-vlir-ous-in-belgium-2025-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"ICP Connect Study Scholarships (VLIR-OUS) in Belgium 2025 | Fully Funded"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ICP Connect Study Scholarship covers tuition fees, travel, insurance, and living expenses (board and lodging) for the full duration of the study programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VLIR-OUS Study Scholarship are awarded to applicants from countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to attend one of the study programmes taught in English at one or more Flemish universities or universities of applied sciences and arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility\u00a0Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Motivation:<\/strong>\u00a0Candidates\u2019 motivation and professional goals must reflect their competence in transferring knowledge\/skills or setting up extension activities and highlighting themes relevant to sustainable development and pertinent to the study programme.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not only are academic results important, but so are \u2013 especially \u2013 the potential and commitment of the candidates to become an \u2018agent of change\u2019 after completing their studies.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Professional experience:<\/strong>\u00a0Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a greater chance of implementing and\/or transferring newly gained knowledge\/skills upon completion in a sustainable development context, such as in the higher education sector, government, civil society or the private sector, thereby contributing to positive societal change.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gender\u202fbalance:<\/strong>\u00a0A balance between male and female candidates awarded ICP Connect scholarships is targeted. VLIRUOS strongly encourages female candidates to apply.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regional balance:<\/strong>\u00a0A reasonable cross-section of scholars from different countries and regions is targeted, provided there are sufficient qualified candidates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leave No One Behind (LNOB):<\/strong>\u00a0In case of equally qualified candidates, preference will be given to candidates from vulnerable groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Previously awarded scholarship:<\/strong>\u00a0Preference will be given to candidates who have never received a scholarship to study in a higher income country (bachelor or master).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>VLIRUOS ICP Connect scholarships cover tuition fees, travel, insurance and living expenses (board and lodging).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We only offer scholarships for the full duration of the study programme (12\/24\/36 months).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check if you are eligible based on all given criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn more about the selected study programmes. If you\u2019re interested in a specific programme, visit the website of the institution that offers it and follow the provided instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Through the institution\u2019s website, apply for both the programme and the scholarship. When submitting your programme application, make sure to indicate if you are also applying for a scholarship. Do not apply for more than one ICP programme per year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What happens next?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each programme sets its own deadlines.
