{"id":25893,"date":"2024-11-29T14:03:33","date_gmt":"2024-11-29T14:03:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=25893"},"modified":"2024-11-29T14:03:36","modified_gmt":"2024-11-29T14:03:36","slug":"west-africa-civil-society-institute-wacsi-2025-next-generation-technology-internship-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/west-africa-civil-society-institute-wacsi-2025-next-generation-technology-internship-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) 2025 Next Generation Technology Internship (Fully Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) with support from Ford Foundation is inviting young graduates or civil society actors from Ghana and Nigeria interested in leveraging technology for social impact to apply for its 6 months\u2019 Next Generation Technology Internship Programme running from February to July 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WACSI is currently seeking<strong>&nbsp;3 interns<\/strong>&nbsp;interested in gaining experience in leveraging technology to support civil society initiatives for social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related fields.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to WACSI\u2019s vision and values and demonstrated interest in civil society.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong technical, writing and communication (verbal and written) skills.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of Cloud computing tools\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge in digital marketing\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confidence in using and applying data analysis tools\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works well under pressure and in a multi-cultural environment.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proactive, willing to learn and take initiatives.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works well as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify potential digital technology related issues and contribute solutions to address them\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design, plan and implement technology solutions and document key processes and lessons learnt for knowledge building\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in providing support for tech adoption and training in digital technology related areas\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to outreach and visibility of the tech programme and interventions through marketing support, branding and partners\u2019 engagement\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report on activities and analysis of data to inform future actions, decision-making and institutionalisation of leading practices\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support in any other projects or initiatives undertaken by the Unit or across Units within the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The successful Nigerian intern will spend a substantial part of her\/his internship working at the WACSI office in Abuja, Nigeria while the successful Ghanaian intern will spend substantial part of her\/his internship working at the WACSI office in Accra, Ghana.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The internship period is from February to July 2025.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is expected from the intern to produce a\u00a0<strong>practicum and end of internship reports<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0<strong>technology action plan for implementation<\/strong>\u00a0pertaining to West Africa\/Civil Society by the end of the internship period.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For More Information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wacsi.org\/call-for-applications-next-generation-technology-internship-programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Webpage of the WACSI Next Generation Technology Internship<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> 17 December 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) with support from Ford Foundation is inviting young graduates or civil society actors<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":10226,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[40],"tags":[60,62,836],"class_list":["post-25893","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-internship","tag-finance","tag-internship","tag-wacsi"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
