Students selected will conduct research on either the&nbsp;<strong>Purdue\u2019s West Lafayette or Indianapolis campus<\/strong>&nbsp;under the guidance of a faculty, graduate student, or postdoctoral mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This competitive fellowship is a paid opportunity complemented with weekly professional development workshops and seminars to help build the technical and communication skills of participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program culminates with a student research symposium in which participants present their findings. All participants must submit a final report detailing their outcomes to both their project advisor and the Engineering Undergraduate Research Office (EURO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor\u2019s degree at Purdue, another U.S. institution, or an international institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a first-time participant in the Purdue SURF program,\u00a0as students can engage in the program only once.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have completed at least one academic semester\/quarter by the time of the SURF application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain undergraduate enrollment for at least one academic semester\/quarter following the conclusion of the SURF program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a rising junior or senior; Purdue-affiliated rising sophomores, including Purdue-Indy rising sophomores, are also eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8\/4.0 or equivalnet at the time of application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate the ability to actively participate in the majority of program activities.
