{"id":26955,"date":"2025-01-24T14:43:22","date_gmt":"2025-01-24T14:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=26955"},"modified":"2025-01-24T14:43:26","modified_gmt":"2025-01-24T14:43:26","slug":"university-of-michigan-international-student-scholarship-2025-up-to-100000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/university-of-michigan-international-student-scholarship-2025-up-to-100000\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Michigan International Student Scholarship 2025\u00a0(up to $100,000)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>T0he College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan in the USA is offering the Michigan International Student Scholarship to candidates seeking undergraduate degrees at the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The LSA Scholarships Office awards a small number of&nbsp;International Student Scholarships&nbsp;each year to first-year incoming LSA students. These awards will be renewable for four years of study.&nbsp;Recipients are selected based on information provided through their scholarship application and their undergraduate admissions application.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The College of LSA continues to see an increase in the number of admitted international students from previous years. In the process of selecting recipients, we honor the intentions of our generous donors who fund these scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility\u00a0Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be an\u00a0incoming first-year undergraduate student admitted to a degree program in the College of LSA.\u00a0<em>Students will be considered even if they have not yet enrolled.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must\u00a0NOT\u00a0be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be enrolled (or intend to enroll) full-time (12 credit hours or more) each term.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Award amounts can go up to 25,000 USD. All International Student Scholarships are renewable for four years of undergraduate study, provided students maintain eligibility by completing their requirements each academic year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For qualified LSA students, the International Student Scholarship helps to cover the cost of attendance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic Transcripts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Letter of Recommendation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal Statement\/Essay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English Proficiency Document<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on the button below to visit the scholarship webpage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply for an undergraduate program in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must be admitted to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts in order to apply.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For Enrolled Students (If you already have an admission):<br><\/strong>Click the application link below and login with your UM\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/accounts-access\/getting-access\/uniqnames-accounts\/students\">uniquename<\/a>\u00a0and password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For Non-Enrolled Admitted Students:<\/strong><br>You must complete all three steps before logging into to the application portal.<br><strong>The process may take up to 48 hours.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1:&nbsp;<\/strong>Create a UM Friend Account&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/friend.weblogin.umich.edu\/friend\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(A&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/documentation.its.umich.edu\/node\/2621\">Friend Account<\/a>&nbsp;is required to access all university systems, including the LSA Scholarships Application Portal.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2:&nbsp;<\/strong>Verify a UM Friend Account on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wolverineaccess.umich.edu\/\">Wolverine Access<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Students should navigate to the Students tab, click on New &amp; Prospective Student Business, and log in with their Friend Account ID and password to verify personal information, including&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/documentation.its.umich.edu\/node\/668\">UMID<\/a>&nbsp;and birth date. If you forgot your Friend Account Password reset it&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/friend.weblogin.umich.edu\/friend\/account\/\">here<\/a>.
