{"id":27956,"date":"2025-03-07T17:20:09","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T17:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=27956"},"modified":"2025-03-07T17:20:12","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T17:20:12","slug":"bic-africa-acceleration-programme-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/bic-africa-acceleration-programme-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"BIC Africa Acceleration Programme 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>BIC Africa in partnership with the European Union has announced applications for the 2025 BIC Africa Acceleration Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BIC Africa Acceleration Programme for Women Entrepreneurs will support women entrepreneurs willing to scale their businesses, while contributing to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility\u00a0Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a woman\u00a0(minimum age of 18-years-old) founder\/owner of already established business with an operational team and a strong development potential.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be available between April and July 2025\u00a0to participate in the Programme with maximum 2 hours per week for online sessions + time to work individually and reflect upon the learnings.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Already running a start-up or company (it must be registered since at least 1 year) and seeking to scale up.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate\u00a0commitment\u00a0to actively participate in all the activities of the Acceleration Programme and assisting future developments of the programme.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have access to\u00a0reliable internet connection.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a\u00a0good working knowledge of English language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Explore growth and s<\/strong>caling trajectories\u00a0for their businesses and solutions.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assess the team competencies\u00a0and consider how their\u00a0business model\u00a0will adapt to the growth phase.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Articulate the social value proposition, identifying why and how the proposed solution contributes to SDGs.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain access to appropriate sectorial, local, and international\u00a0experts.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Join a vibrant\u00a0community of women entrepreneurs, to learn, exchange, and connect.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect with BIC Africa and the European Business Innovation Centre Network (EBN)\u00a0to unleash the impact of women entrepreneurs (see:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ebn.eu\/\">https:\/\/ebn.eu\/<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme will also open the door for further&nbsp;<strong>opportunities and awards<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A\u00a0Certificate of recognition\u00a0will be sent in an electronic format by EBN \u2013 BIC Africa project for those who successfully completed the 12-week course acceleration programme (attending at least 9 out of the 12 sessions).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remote one-to-one Mentoring sessions\u00a0will be offered to high performing participants selected by the BIC Africa expert committee, who as such will get the chance to be matched with one or two European incubation experts, who will accompany their growth trajectory.
