This essay is a crucial component of the application, as it provides a platform for students to showcase their depth of thought, personal insights, and potential to contribute to the BU community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please choose from one of the two prompts below and submit one essay, in 600 words or less, as part of your application through the Common Application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nobel laureate and BU professor Elie Wiesel once said: \u201cThere is divine beauty in learning\u2026 To learn means to accept the postulate that life did not begin at my birth. Others have been here before me, and I walk in their footsteps. The books I have read were composed by generations of fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, teachers and disciples.
