This opportunity is designed for both&nbsp;<strong>emerging researchers<\/strong>&nbsp;(including undergraduate, master\u2019s, and PhD students) and&nbsp;<strong>experienced researchers<\/strong>&nbsp;(at the postdoctoral level and beyond) who are interested in engaging in collaborative, community-driven academic research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>INTERA is a dynamic and interdisciplinary academic network that promotes\u00a0<strong>innovative research<\/strong>, builds lasting academic relationships, and nurtures intellectual talent. The network focuses on studying the intersection of\u00a0<strong>entrepreneurship<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>digital technologies<\/strong>, and their impact on individuals, organizations, and societies within the African context. It aims to strengthen research ecosystems by connecting scholars across disciplines and stages of their academic careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn more about the network\u2019s vision, activities, and past work, visit:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/intera.network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/intera.network\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Features of the INTERA Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Emerging researchers<\/strong>\u00a0(undergraduate to doctoral level)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experienced researchers<\/strong>\u00a0(postdoc and above)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus areas:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entrepreneurship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technology and innovation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business and management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anthropology and sociology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research must involve\u00a0<strong>primary data collection<\/strong>, using:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Qualitative methods<\/strong>\u00a0(such as interviews, fieldwork, and ethnographies)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quantitative methods<\/strong>\u00a0(such as experiments and large-scale surveys)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Special preference is given to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Researchers affiliated with or studying at\u00a0<strong>African universities or institutions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholars conducting research within\u00a0<strong>African societies and communities<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fellowship Commitments and Expectations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fellowship term:\u00a0<strong>One year<\/strong>\u00a0(with a possibility of renewal upon review)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No monetary funding<\/strong>\u00a0is currently provided with this fellowship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each\u00a0<strong>emerging researcher<\/strong>\u00a0will be paired with a\u00a0<strong>dedicated academic mentor<\/strong>\u00a0to support their intellectual growth and career progression<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fellows are required to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in and actively contribute to at least\u00a0<strong>10 out of 12 virtual workshops<\/strong>\u00a0held throughout the year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support\u00a0<strong>peer researchers<\/strong>\u00a0by offering constructive feedback during workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with\u00a0<strong>INTERA outreach and engagement initiatives<\/strong>, where feasible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshops are held&nbsp;<strong>every other month<\/strong>, with a focus on&nbsp;<strong>paper development<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>research feedback<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>professional development<\/strong>&nbsp;in a supportive academic setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline: May 28, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSc3qrx2WmT5dxXH5eK2IshQ-WO7rbciTnwsDuonPlYVJrmSJg\/viewform\">HERE<\/a>&nbsp;to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The&nbsp;Interdisciplinary Network for Technology and Entrepreneurship Research in Africa (INTERA)&nbsp;is now accepting fellowship applications for the&nbsp;2025\/2026 academic year.
