There are 81 member states, including 54 in Africa (Regional Member Countries).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bank\u2019s development agenda is delivering the financial and technical support for transformative projects that will significantly reduce poverty through inclusive and sustainable economic growth. In order to sharply focus the objectives of the Ten-Year Strategy (2024 \u2013 2033) and ensure greater developmental impact, five major areas, all of which will accelerate our delivery for Africa, have been identified for scaling up, namely; energy, agro-business, industrialization, integration and improving the quality of life for the people of Africa. The Internship program is part of a wider Talent Management Framework which facilitates the Bank to deliver on the Ten-Year Strategy and the High 5s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Focus Areas<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The specific disciplines and specialist professional areas are aligned to the Bank\u2019s Ten-Year Strategy (TYS) and the gender strategy.&nbsp; In addition to the fields that are in the job families of the Bank, focus will be on the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Agriculture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Human Capital<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operations management &amp; programming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Procurement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivery &amp; Performance Monitoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Risk Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capacity Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Governance, Natural Resource and Knowledge Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economics, Statistics and Data Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Human Resources Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information Management Technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Real Estate Management and Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Translation and Interpretation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corporate Governance &amp; Advisory Functions or any other field of study that the Bank may deem relevant to its operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong> <strong>Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must have attained the age of majority in their country of nationality or origin and be not more than Thirty (30) years old at the time of commencement of the internship program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be currently enrolled in a master\u2019s level degree program in a recognized public or private educational institution of higher learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The candidate can apply for an internship within one (1) year of having obtained such a degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be nationals of the member Countries of the African Development Bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide a letter from their school confirming their enrollment or a copy of the above-mentioned Degree. Applicants must be fluent in at least one of the Banks\u2019s two working languages (English or French).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to use the Bank\u2019s standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); knowledge of SAP is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selected interns will perform their internship either remotely or on-site depending on the needs of their respective hiring units.
