Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has proudly received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for nine academic programmes across five faculties, including the much-anticipated Nursing programme. This follows an accreditation visit conducted by the NUC in October and November 2024, in accordance with Section 10 (1) of the Education (National Minimum Standard and Establishment of Institutions) Act CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, which empowers the Commission to set and uphold academic standards in Nigerian universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an official letter signed by NUC\u2019s Acting Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, the commission confirmed that full accreditation has been granted to the following programmes: Nursing, Environmental Health Science, Christian Religious Studies, History and International Studies, Music, Performing Arts, Law, Mathematics, and Statistics. Additionally, ACU\u2019s Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme was also fully accredited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reacting to this achievement, ACU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, expressed deep gratitude to the NUC for its transparent processes and unwavering commitment to raising the standard of university education in Nigeria. \u201cThis outcome reflects our commitment to academic excellence and integrity,\u201d he said. \u201cOn behalf of the University Senate and the Governing Council, I thank the NUC for its transparent accreditation process. I also commend our dedicated staff and students for making this possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
