{"id":30190,"date":"2025-07-11T10:23:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T10:23:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=30190"},"modified":"2025-07-11T10:23:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T10:23:08","slug":"development-bank-of-nigeria-dbn-entrepreneurship-training-program-%e2%82%a61m-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/development-bank-of-nigeria-dbn-entrepreneurship-training-program-%e2%82%a61m-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Development Bank of Nigeria DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program (\u20a61m Grant)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program is the flagship programme of the Development Bank of Nigeria to support potential businesses of young Nigerians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Development Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Training is currently in its 7th Cycle, seeking to provide free online business skill training as well as a grant of \u20a6500,000 to \u20a61 million to support your business venture..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capacity building is a core mandate of the Development Bank of Nigeria, and so far, the Bank has trained over 4000 MSMEs across Nigeria digitally and physically, leveraging partnerships and the DBN Learning Management System (LMS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Target Audience:<\/em>\u00a0This is open to all Nigerian MSMEs across any sector, who are interested in acquiring the right knowledge needed to succeed in doing business in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for the 7th cycle of the DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Development Bank of Nigeria is a development finance institution focused on alleviating financing constraints faced by Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria through providing financing, partial credit guarantees and technical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bank was started by the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide loans to Micro, Small, and Medium Scale Enterprises in Nigeria. The bank does not disburse the loan to the borrower in cash but through participating intermediary banks in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Owner of business must be 18 years and above.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business Owner must be a citizen or legal resident of Nigeria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Business must be based and registered with the CAC in Nigeria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Business must be for-profit from any sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be available to commit to the training schedule once accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Selected businesses will be chosen to receive grant funding of N500,000\u00a0 to \u20a61 million each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, DBN will be selecting the best businesses to attend a face-to-face training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This physical session would be an opportunity for businesses to practically apply important principles to their various businesses, discuss and receive business support in specific areas of need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All businesses will be eligible to pitch their business value proposition and some businesses will be selected to receive grant funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Note<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual DBN Entrepreneurship Training Programme aims to achieve the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure MSMEs are well equipped with skills and competencies to defend sound and viable business proposals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve the Capacity of MSMEs to access available credit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve the capacity of MSMEs for efficient funds utilization, trade, investments and access to markets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bankability- Level of readiness to access credit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feasibility and Sustainability of the business model.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scalability- Demonstrates potential for growth of business to create jobs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How To Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All applicants must register on the DBN BizAid application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All businesses who have completed the 4 courses by the stipulated deadline will receive an email with a link to apply for the face-to-face training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon submission of the application form, an email confirming receipt will be sent to the applicant within a 24-hour period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants will be screened and shortlisted from the close of the application based on the eligibility criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selection will be carried out using the defined selection criteria from the pool of shortlisted applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication with successful applicants shall be by email to the email address provided and a phone call to the phone number provided on the application form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training will commence on announced dates consecutively in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants must complete a minimum of&nbsp;4 mandatory courses on the BizAid Learning management platform and obtain an average score of 70% from all quizzes.&nbsp;The courses that must be completed are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accounting &amp; Bookkeeping,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability for MSMEs,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marketing and Sales Techniques,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit Management\/Access to Finance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To Start the training, simply register through&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/bizaid.devbankng.com\/\">here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/learning.devbankng.com\/\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> Not Specified\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program is the flagship programme of the Development Bank of Nigeria to support potential businesses of young<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":21284,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[49],"tags":[2956,55,64,8],"class_list":["post-30190","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-education","tag-dbn","tag-education","tag-student","tag-university"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
