Its foundation dates back to 2001 when former President Olusegun Obasanjo set up the Presidential Committee on Local Content in the industry. The NCDMB Essay Competition is exclusively open to 100\u2013200 level students in Nigeria\u2019s public and private tertiary institutions, including polytechnics and colleges of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NCDMB National Undergraduate Essay Competition 2025 is aimed at promoting Nigeria\u2019s Local Content (NC) initiative and raising awareness on building local capacity to actively participate in the nation\u2019s oil and gas sector. With the topic <em>\u201cSustaining Local Content Policies in the Transitioning Oil and Gas Industry\u201d<\/em>, the competition offers a total of \u20a62.2 million in cash prizes, laptops, and other awards to students who submit outstanding essays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility and Submission Guidelines<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Open exclusively to 100\u2013200 level students in Nigerian public and private tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All manuscripts and required documents must be uploaded to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncdmbessay.ng?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">www.ncdmbessay.ng<\/a><\/strong> on or before the closing date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Late entries will not be accepted, and hardcopy submissions are not allowed.
