Through this initiative, NICArb aims to promote academic excellence, stimulate meaningful discourse, and advance knowledge in arbitration, mediation, and other ADR mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p (ADR) in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria for the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) Essay Competition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">To be eligible for the NICArb Annual Essay Competition, applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be 18 years of age or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a student, aspiring arbitrator, or a young professional with one to two years of post-graduation experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous winners of the NICArb Essay Competition are <strong>not eligible<\/strong> to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">The competition is open to individuals from the following fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">Law style=\"margin-top:0;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0\">Entries will be evaluated based on originality, relevance, depth of analysis, research quality, and the practicality of the proposed solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">Submission Guidelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Essays must be original, unpublished works and must not have been submitted for any previous competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Essays should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words, excluding footnotes and bibliography.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An abstract of 150\u2013250 words must accompany each submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citations must follow either the OSCOLA or Bluebook referencing style.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions must be prepared in 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Essays should be submitted in PDF or DOCX format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By submitting an entry, applicants acknowledge that accepted essays may be considered for publication by the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">Required Application
