This initiative will offer academically talented youth from Africa facing financial, gender, displacement, or disability constraints an opportunity to access world class university education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at USIU-Africa will provide full-cost scholarships to young Africans who are first-time undergraduate degree-seeking applicants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;16th September 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible Countries:<\/strong>&nbsp;African countries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Type:<\/strong>&nbsp;Undergraduate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To be Taken at (Country):&nbsp;<\/strong>Kenya<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:<\/strong>&nbsp;Not specified<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Value of Award:<\/strong>&nbsp;The Mastercard Foundation Scholars at USIU-Africa will receive holistic support which includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tuition and functional fees;<\/li><li>Laptops, books and other learning materials;<\/li><li>Reasonable accommodation and meals;<\/li><li>Medical insurance;<\/li><li>Stipend;<\/li><li>Transport to and from home;<\/li><li>Access to leadership training;<\/li><li>Access to entrepreneurial training;<\/li><li>Psycho-social support, career counselling and mentorship;<\/li><li>Disability needs will be reasonably catered for.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duration of Award:<\/strong>&nbsp;4 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must be 29 years and below at the time of application<\/li><li>You must demonstrate the following qualities; Academic talent, Commitment to giving back, Leadership potential<\/li><li>You must meet the minimum university entry grade of a C+ and above or its equivalent as set by the Kenya Commission for University Education. Applicants interested in courses in the school of Pharmacy and Health sciences must have a mean grade of B- or its equivalent and at least a C+ or B- in the cluster subjects of English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. International applicants must meet the equivalent.<\/li><li>You must&nbsp;be interested in, and meet USIU-Africa\u2019s admissions criteria and academic qualifications to undertake, any of the&nbsp;<strong>approved 11 undergraduate degree programs<\/strong>&nbsp;for the Scholars Program at USIU-Africa as follows:<ul><li><strong>School of Science and Technology (SST)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Technology;<\/li><li><strong>School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (SPHS)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics;<\/li><li><strong>School of Communication, Cinematic and Creative Arts (SCCCA)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Bachelor of Arts in Animation, Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and Directing;<\/li><li><strong>Chandaria School of Business (CSOB)<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Bachelor of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration, and Bachelor of Science in Accounting;<\/li><li><strong>School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS<\/strong>) \u2013 Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a. Submit complete application together with other supporting documents required by email ensuring that the scanned copy of the scholarship application form and all the required documents are scanned in PDF format.
