{"id":4561,"date":"2022-09-07T10:30:50","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T10:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=4561"},"modified":"2022-09-07T10:30:53","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T10:30:53","slug":"university-of-ibadan-distance-learning-programme-resumes-academic-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/university-of-ibadan-distance-learning-programme-resumes-academic-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Ibadan\u00a0distance learning programme resumes academic activities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The management of the University of Ibadan has announced the resumption of academic activities at its Distance Learning Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement came on Tuesday 7 September as the strike embarked upon by the\u00a0 Academic Staff Union of Universities on February 14 has been prolonged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director, University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre,&nbsp; Prof. Emmanuel Omobowale, said in a statement on Tuesday that academic activities started on September 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said students seeking to transfer their programmes from other universities to UI were also encouraged to do so.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his words, <em>\u201cThe university management has directed new and returning Distance Learning students to resume a new academic session on Monday, September 5, 2022 and Monday,\u00a0 September, 19, 2022 respectively.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cApplication forms for admission are still available for intending learners.
