{"id":5188,"date":"2022-09-30T14:30:42","date_gmt":"2022-09-30T14:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=5188"},"modified":"2022-09-30T14:30:46","modified_gmt":"2022-09-30T14:30:46","slug":"call-for-proposals-we-lead-creatives-grant-15000-euros-to-30000-euros","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/call-for-proposals-we-lead-creatives-grant-15000-euros-to-30000-euros\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Proposals: We Lead Creatives Grant (15,000 Euros to 30,000 Euros)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We Lead is now launching a call for proposals for creatives and creative hubs in Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria, working to produce audio-visual content that sheds light on We Lead rightsholders\u2019 SRHR issues often ignored by society and duty bearers through the following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/media\/\">media<\/a>\u00a0and more:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Film<\/li><li>Creative design<\/li><li>Music production<\/li><li>Online<\/li><li>Content creation<\/li><li>Photography<\/li><li>Virtual reality and gaming<\/li><li>Media<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The program puts these young&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/women-gender\/\">women<\/a>&nbsp;as rightsholders in the driver\u2019s seat while supporting them to make sustainable changes for their SRHR. It focuses on four specific groups of young women: women living with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/hiv-and-aids\/\">HIV<\/a>, women living with disabilities, those facing discrimination, and those affected by displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is implemented in nine countries in Africa, the Middle East and Central America. The We Lead consortium which is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs consists of six&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/civil-society\/\">civil society<\/a>&nbsp;organizations: Positive Vibes, Restless Development, Marsa, FEMNET, the Central American Women\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/latest-funds-for-ngos\/\">Fund<\/a>, and Hivos as a lead party. M&amp;C Saatchi World Services is their technical partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We Lead aims to ensure that the rightsholders play a leading role in strengthened and inclusive organizations and movements that enjoy increased public support and have convinced duty-bearers and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/health\/\">health<\/a>-service providers to take steps towards implementing laws, policies and practices that respect and protect these young women\u2019s SRHR by 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Funding Information<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The grants that are available range from 15,000 Euros (lowest) to 30,000 Euros (highest) for 8 months for the period starting November 1 2022 \u2013 June 30 2023.<\/li><li>Grants may be for the amplification of work already being done in support of creative content production and\/or infrastructural needs around the message area mentioned above and as per the project\u2019s outcomes.<\/li><li>Grants may also be for the creation of new content responding to new developments with regard to rightsholders\u2019 SRHR issues.<\/li><li>The grant is not able to fund the provision of direct services or operating\/running costs unrelated to proposed activities as outlined in this call.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outcomes<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>We Lead\u2019s Intermediate outcomes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Strengthened CSOs are inclusive of or led by young women from four rightsholder groups, and work together in a Community of Action, to defend and promote their SRHR.<\/li><li>The general public increasingly acknowledges and supports young women\u2019s SRHR.<\/li><li>Health service providers are more aware of the SRHR needs and situation of rightsholder groups, and increasingly provide accessible, comprehensive, high-quality, inclusive and respectful SRHR information and services.<\/li><li>Duty-bearers increasingly design, adopt and implement laws and policies that respect and protect the SRHR of young women from rightsholder groups.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Proposals with innovative project ideas that promote an increase in knowledge about SRHR information and public and decision-makers support for the following We Lead rightsholder groups:<ul><li>Young women living with HIV<\/li><li>Young women with disabilities<\/li><li>Young women who identify as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/lesbian-gay-bisexuals-transgender-and-queer-lgbtq\/\">lesbian<\/a>, bisexual, trans, queer or intersex<\/li><li>Young women that are affected by displacement<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>This call is primarily directed to:<ul><li>Entities that represent communities of makers and audio-visual content creators such as but are not limited to the following;<ul><li>Creative spaces<\/li><li>Groups of artists<\/li><li>Music studios<\/li><li>Hubs<\/li><li>Caf\u00e9s<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/arts-culture\/\">Art<\/a>&nbsp;spaces<\/li><li>Art galleries<\/li><li>Independent production houses<\/li><li>Networks of artists and producers<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Entities that produce or intend to produce content\/work that aims to shed light on socio-political issues that are often ignored by society therefore challenging or questioning certain norms in society.
