Interested students of the sub-Saharan African region are here invited to apply for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/daad-in-country-in-region-scholarship-programme-apply\/\"><strong>2023\/2024 In-Country\/In-Region Scholarship Programme<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;for Sub-Saharan Africans (West and Central Africa or Southern African region).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems in Sub-Saharan Africa with the capacity to contribute to sustainable development. To this end, scholarships are granted for development-related\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/category\/scholarship-links\/by-study-level\/masters-scholarships\/\"><strong>Master<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/category\/scholarship-links\/by-study-level\/phd-scholarships\/\"><strong>doctoral<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0studies for individuals who plan to pursue a career in teaching and \/ or research at a higher education institution in Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;DAAD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship to be taken at:&nbsp;<\/strong>Sub-Saharan Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth:&nbsp;<\/strong>See scholarship value and benefits (below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Not Stated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level<\/strong>: Postgraduate (Masters and PhD)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:\u00a0<\/strong>Sub-Saharan Africans (see eligibility criteria below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The target group for scholarships are graduates and postgraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>with a first academic degree if applying for a Master\u2019s programme, or<\/li><li>with a Master\u2019s degree if applying for a doctoral programme<\/li><li>who want to pursue Master\u2019s or PhD courses in their home country (so called In-Country scholarships) or in another Sub-Saharan African country (In-Region scholarships).<\/li><li>Female applicants and candidates from less privileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to participate in the programme.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection process differs between the individual degree programmes.
