The leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the\u00a0newly registered Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics (CONUA), has kicked against the federal government’s decision to pay half salaries to lecturers\u00a0for the month of October, following the suspension of the 8-month-old strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recall that the federal government had insisted on a ”No work, No pay”<\/strong><\/em> policy for the period the university workers were striking. The lecturers eventually suspended the strike and resumed school activities on October 14.
