The University awards $32 million each year in&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/category\/scholarship-links\/by-study-destination\/scholarships-in-canada\/\">scholarships<\/a><\/strong>, awards, and financial support to all kinds of students. Whether you\u2019re a scholastic achiever, community leader, or well-rounded student, you are not exempted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be evaluated for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Your eligibility will be based on your high school admission average at the time of your admission offer. We\u2019ll assess you for a match to the following and many more. They include;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>International Admission Scholarship<\/strong>: Top students could receive up to<br>$5,000 CAD, depending on admission<br>average.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regional Excellence Scholarship<\/strong>: Top students from certain regions<br>could receive up to $5,000 CAD, based<br>on admission average.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gold Standard Scholarship<\/strong>: The top 5% of students in each faculty could receive up to $6,000, depending on admission average.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>University of Alberta International Scholarships 2023 | Application-based scholarships<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside the admission-based. there are even more scholarships to take advantage of. you can choose to apply early and be awarded extra scholarships as you qualify. Such scholarships include;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>President\u2019s International Distinction Scholarship<\/strong>: Students with a superior admission<br>average and demonstrated leadership qualities entering their first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit could receive up to $120,000 CAD (payable over 4 years).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>International Leader Scholarship<\/strong>: Well-rounded leaders with superior academics may receive up to $10,000 CAD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship:&nbsp;<\/strong>Students with a superior admission average and self-declared financial need entering their first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit who are Chinese or Hong Kong citizens could receive up to $100,000 (payable over 4 years).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Global Citizen Scholarship for IB Diploma Students<\/strong>: There\u2019s is also the University of Alberta Global Citizen Scholarship for IB Diploma International Students up to $53,000 per year for a maximum of 4 years to qualifying students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Interested and eligible candidates are required to take admission in an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ualberta.ca\/graduate-studies\/prospective-students\/international-admissions-protocol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">undergraduate<\/a>&nbsp;degree program at the University of Alberta, Canada.
