{"id":6658,"date":"2022-12-06T09:49:52","date_gmt":"2022-12-06T09:49:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=6658"},"modified":"2022-12-06T09:57:10","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T09:57:10","slug":"brief-history-of-coeasu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/brief-history-of-coeasu\/","title":{"rendered":"Brief History of COEASU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Cognizant of our fundamental rights as entrenched in Chapter 4, Section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended, COEASU decided to come together as a Union, as categorized in the Trade Union restructuring Gazette No. 6, Vol. 65 of 8th February, 1978. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an independent trade Union body, the Colleges of\u00a0Education\u00a0Academic Staff Union <strong>(COEASU) <\/strong>chose to form a union in 1992. It was formally registered as such in 2010 by the Office of the Registrar of Trade Unions in Nigeria, with Registration No. 0115.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To organize all the academic staff members of the Colleges of Education in Nigeria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To coordinate and regulate the relationship between academic staff and the employers on one hand and among members of the Union on the other hand.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To ensure the enhancement of high standard of performance and professional practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To ensure the enhancement of just and proper condition of service for its members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To encourage members of The Union to participate in lawful affairs of the colleges, their community and the nation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To engage in other lawful objects that are not inconsistent with the rules, practice, and aspirations of trade unionism in Nigeria and globally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To ensure the enhancement of the social and economic well-being of members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>#PressPayNg#EduSAVINGS#EduLOANS#EduSURE#INTERNSHIP#SCHOLARSHIP#EduHEALTHMAINTAINANCE#ENTERPRENUERSHIP#TERTIARY#EDUCATION#TUITION#FEES#UNIVERSITY#POLYTECHNIC#MONOTECHNIC#FELLOWSHIP#COLLEGEOFEDUCATION#HOLIDAYJOBS#SOFTSKILLSTRAINING<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cognizant of our fundamental rights as entrenched in Chapter 4, Section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1634,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6658","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
