The Lund University Global Scholarship programme seeks to recognise these students by awarding academic excellence grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarship recipients have a proven record of achieving&nbsp;<strong>consistently high grades<\/strong>&nbsp;in their previous studies and are assessed as being a good fit for our programmes. Priority will be given to students with high academic performance, who are assessed as a good fit for the programme, who demonstrate a strong commitment and desire to study at Lund University and who have selected a programme\/course at Lund University as their first choice\/choices when applying at&nbsp;www.universityadmissions.se.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the scholarship is merit based only,\u00a0<strong>no consideration is taken of the student\u2019s financial needs<\/strong>\u00a0in the selection process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Requirements:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must be a citizen of a country from outside the EU\/EEA (and Switzerland) and are required to pay a tuition fee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 &nbsp;You have applied for Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s level studies in the regular application rounds for a minimum of one semester of study (30 ECTS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLEASE DO NOT APPLY \u00a0if you do not meet the admission requirements to Lund University, if you have not selected a Lund University programme\/course as your first choice\/choices at universityadmissions.se\u00a0or if you cannot secure the funding needed to cover living costs, as required by the Swedish Migration Board.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Duration and Reward<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Approximately SEK 18 million (\u20ac1.7 million \/ US $1.8&nbsp;million) awarded in scholarship grants each year<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A selective, merit-based scholarship to recognise top academic students from outside the EU\/EEA<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Documents<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the\u00a0online scholarship application, you need to upload your personal \u2018scholarship motivation letter\u2019 (maximum 600 words) in the scholarship application portal. Please note that the scholarship motivation letter\u00a0is\u00a0<strong><em>different<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from any statement of purpose you may be required to submit as part of your programme-specific application documents.\u00a0Your\u00a0scholarship motivation letter\u00a0should explain why your\u00a0academic performance and reasons for applying to Lund University make you a suitable\u00a0potential recipient for a Lund University Global Scholarship.<br><br>You can only apply for one Lund University Global Scholarship for the programmes or courses that you have selected at Lund University in a specific application round.
