Ph.D. programs require an increased time commitment from students compared to the master\u2019s offerings as more emphasis is placed on the delivery of their thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline for applications: 30 April 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MBZUAI offers the following master of science (M.Sc.) programs:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master of Science in Computer Vision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mbzuai.ac.ae\/program\/master-of-science-in-computer-vision\/\"><\/a>Master of Science in Machine Learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mbzuai.ac.ae\/program\/master-of-science-in-machine-learning\/\"><\/a>Master of Science in Natural Language Processing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MBZUAI offers the following doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) programs:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision<a href=\"https:\/\/mbzuai.ac.ae\/program\/doctor-of-philosophy-in-computer-vision\/\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Doctor of Philosophy in Machine Learning<a href=\"https:\/\/mbzuai.ac.ae\/program\/doctor-of-philosophy-in-machine-learning\/\"><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Language Processing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Target applicants for the doctoral degree<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MBZUAI accepts applicants from all nationalities who have both a bachelor\u2019s and a master\u2019s degree in STEM fields such as computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, physics and other relevant science and engineering majors, from a university accredited or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Target applicants for the master\u2019s degree<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MBZUAI accepts applicants from all nationalities who hold a bachelor\u2019s degree in a STEM field such as computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, physics and other relevant science and engineering majors, from a university accredited or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Online application&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mbzuai.ac.ae\/register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">form<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CV (with academic background, work experience, research publications, and programming\/coding skills)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid passport copy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photograph with white background<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid Pakistan national identity card copy (only for Pakistan nationals)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Credit transfer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students applying for admission who wish to transfer credit from a federal or licensed institution in the UAE, or a foreign institution of higher learning based outside the UAE and accredited in its home country must provide evidence, as outlined in the admission procedure, which will allow the Academic Committee to make a determination regarding the transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The limit for the number of transfer credits which may be accepted for a specific degree program is 25 per cent of total credit hours for MSc and Ph.D. programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfers will only be permitted for students who are in good academic standing and who are eligible to return to their current or former institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MBZUAI will accept the transfer of credits only for courses relevant to the degree that provide equivalent learning outcomes and in which the student earned a grade of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The grade of the transfer credit course will be recorded as a \u201cTC\u201d on the transcript record. The approved transfer credits will be calculated towards the credit hours but not included in GPA calculation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The course transfer credits may not have been used previously in any graduate program to fulfil the requirement of any other graduate degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The course credits must have been completed no more than a maximum of (2) years prior to the student\u2019s acceptance into the program of MBZUAI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The MBZUAI Academic Committee will have the ultimate right to accept or reject the transfer requests for any student.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All applications for transfer credit to M.Sc. or Ph.D. programs must be submitted online providing all required documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MBZUAI offers students a choice of graduate programs in a modern and innovative university setting, located in the thriving capital of the UAE.
