It aligns with the National Strategy for International Education 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship\u2019s objective is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attract and support study in regional Australia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grow and develop regional Australian tertiary education providers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer students a high-quality learning experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from low-socioeconomic status (low-SES), and who are first in family to tertiary study, and those living with a disability are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;Summary<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host Country: Australia&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study Abroad:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarshipregion.com\/category\/scholarships\/study-abroad\/australia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Study in Australia<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Category: &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarshipregion.com\/category\/scholarships\/undergraduate-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Undergraduate Scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarshipregion.com\/category\/scholarships\/postgraduate-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Postgraduate Scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarshipregion.com\/category\/scholarships\/postgraduate-scholarships\/masters-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Masters Scholarships<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eligible Countries: All Countries&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reward: AUD $15,000 per year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for University of Queensland Destination Australia Scholarship, applicants are expected to complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vision6.com.au\/em\/forms\/subscribe.php?db=555990&amp;s=275777&amp;a=23336&amp;k=0H4VV6hXezm38P-sLWEPUWQAr7Hir9ASnDgqMnIICbc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online application<\/a>&nbsp;form for the scholarship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are also expected to submit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A personal statement (limit 300 words)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll need to submit your application by the following closing dates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Semester 1 (February): 12:00pm AEST on 18 January 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Semester 2 (July): 12:00pm AEST on 14 June 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re eligible if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>are an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarships.uq.edu.au\/definitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">international student<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hold a student visa for the scholarship\u2019s duration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarships.uq.edu.au\/definitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">commencing student<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are UQ alumni commencing a different program (for example, Master\u2019s after completing a Bachelor\u2019s degree)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a full offer to study an eligible program delivered entirely at the UQ Gatton campus in 2023 (you don\u2019t need to accept your full offer by the scholarship application deadline).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>will study full-time via Internal study mode at UQ\u2019s Gatton campus for the scholarship\u2019s duration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reside in a regional area of Australia for the scholarship\u2019s duration as defined by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abs.gov.au\/websitedbs\/D3310114.nsf\/home\/remoteness+structure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure 2016 (Australian Bureau of Statistics)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dual degrees with the Bachelor of Agribusiness and Master of Agricultural Science (<a href=\"https:\/\/study.uq.edu.au\/study-options\/programs\/master-agricultural-science-5564\/plant-protection-plantx5564\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Plant Protection<\/a>\u00a0field of study) are\u00a0<strong>not eligible<\/strong>\u00a0because they are not delivered full-time at UQ Gatton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duration and Reward<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship value<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AUD $15,000 per year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship duration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the program\u2019s duration (maximum 4 years)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number awarded<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May vary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method of Application<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you apply to UBC by January 15, you will be automatically considered for the IMES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarship status<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be considered for this scholarship shortly after you receive an offer of admission to UBC.
