Interested candidates are requested to apply now for a study place in Canadian post-secondary institutions of their choice, who will then apply for the scholarships on their behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Flag_of_Canada_Pantone.svg_-1024x512.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Flag_of_Canada_Pantone.svg_-1024x512.webp 1024w, https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Flag_of_Canada_Pantone.svg_-300x150.webp 300w, https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Flag_of_Canada_Pantone.svg_-768x384.webp 768w, https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Flag_of_Canada_Pantone.svg_-840x420.webp 840w, https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Flag_of_Canada_Pantone.svg_.webp 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/government-of-canada-scholarships-study-in-canada-2022-23\/\"><strong>Study in Canada Scholarships<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0provide students from post-secondary institutions located in the new eligible countries\/territories with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>Government of Canada (DFATD)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Type:&nbsp;<\/strong>Full Funded Scholarships<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Host Institution(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>Canadian post-secondary institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth<\/strong><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>Up to CAD 12,700 for six months<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>50 per year (number might increase)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level<\/strong>: Undergraduate, Masters, PhD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:\u00a0<\/strong>Non Canadian Citizens<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for the Government of Canada Scholarships 2023-24, applicants must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>citizens of one of the following eligible countries\/territories:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Asia:<\/strong>&nbsp;Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Europe:<\/strong>&nbsp;Turkey, Ukraine;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Middle East and North Africa:<\/strong>&nbsp;Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sub-Saharan Africa:<\/strong>&nbsp;Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enrolled as a full-time student at post-secondary institution in an eligible country\/territory and paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of the exchange.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Canadian post-secondary institution must<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/study-canada\/study-permit\/prepare\/designated-learning-institutions-list.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Designated Learning Institution<\/a>&nbsp;(DLI);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a valid student exchange agreement with the candidate\u2019s home institution that waives tuition fees for scholarship recipients. For college and undergraduate research applications with no agreement, a letter issued by the Canadian institution\u2019s international office or equivalent will be accepted; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>inform both the candidate and their home institution of any mandatory fees that, in exceptional cases, cannot be waived, prior to applying for a scholarship on the candidate\u2019s behalf.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scholarship Value and Benefits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is valued at CAD 10,200 or CAD 12,700 depending on study duration and the&nbsp;funds should be used towards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>visa or study\/work permit fees;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>airfare for the scholarship recipient only via the most direct and economical route;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>health insurance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>living expenses, such as accommodation, utilities and food;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ground transportation, including a public transportation pass; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>books and supplies required for the recipient\u2019s study or research, excluding computers and other equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Interested applicants for the Government of Canada Scholarships 2023-24 are to contact eligible Canadian institutions who will then proceed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>submit applications on behalf of eligible candidates;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>promote this scholarship opportunity to their faculty and staff members, as well as to partner institutions from the eligible countries\/territories;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rank applications based on the institution\u2019s strategic priorities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify a single person responsible for the submission of applications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sign a Contribution Agreement with&nbsp;DFATD&nbsp;and disburse scholarship funds to successful candidates; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>submit qualitative and quantitative reports during the scholarship period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Post-secondary institutions from eligible countries\/territories should<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>communicate with partner institutions in Canada to confirm or explore institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>promote this scholarship opportunity through their international offices;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify candidates who meet the eligibility and admission requirements for the Canadian partner institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide supporting documents for their candidates to the Canadian partner institution, which is responsible for submitting the scholarship applications; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>advise selected candidates to gain additional linguistic training and intercultural skills before their departure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>March 21, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.educanada.ca\/scholarships-bourses\/can\/institutions\/study-in-canada-sep-etudes-au-canada-pct.aspx?lang=eng#tab_1530023127_0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least\u00a050 scholarships\u00a0will be awarded in this year\u2019s competition of the\u00a0Government of Canada\u00a0Scholarships\u00a0for Study in Canada 2023\/2024, with the number<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":5558,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8821","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
