{"id":9186,"date":"2023-03-14T12:03:28","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T12:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=9186"},"modified":"2023-03-14T12:03:31","modified_gmt":"2023-03-14T12:03:31","slug":"goethe-institut-talents-scholarship-program-for-young-musicians-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/goethe-institut-talents-scholarship-program-for-young-musicians-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Goethe-Institut Talents Scholarship Program for Young Musicians 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applications for\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/goethe-institut-talents-scholarship-program-for-young-musicians-2023\/\">Goethe Talents Scholarship<\/a><\/strong>\u00a02023 are open now to young musician, composer, singer-songwriter or \u00a0instrumentalist between 20 and 30 years of age and from a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/dac\/financing-sustainable-development\/development-finance-standards\/DAC-List-of-ODA-Recipients-for-reporting-2022-23-flows.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transitioning or so called developing country<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"272\" height=\"185\" src=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Goithe.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9187\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Goethe Talents Scholarship is a 12-day programme to support and connect young, aspiring musical artists including singer-songwriters and composers.<br>The scholarship is a cooperation between the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goethe.de\/de\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Goethe-Institut<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pop-kultur.berlin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pop-Kultur<\/a>\u00a0and will be taking place for the eighth time in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;Goethe-Institut<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Host Institution(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;Goethe-Institut<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth:<\/strong>&nbsp;Funded<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level:<\/strong>&nbsp;Young Musical Artists, Singer-Songwriters and Composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:<\/strong>\u00a0Global South, North Africa or West- and Central- Asia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;participation fee, accommodation, travel expenses, hospitality&nbsp;(per diem) for the period of&nbsp;August 24th to September 4th, 2023&nbsp;will be covered by the Goethe-Institut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goethe-Institut will also book and pay for flights and will help with visa issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Music board Berlin will give a free Festival Ticket plus access to Pop-Kultur\u2019s networking area for professionals to all talents, organize accommodation (breakfast included), cover health insurance and public transportation within Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we expect\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All participants will have to prepare a short&nbsp;input talk&nbsp;(of approx. 15 min.) in advance about their experience in the music field thus far and about the music scene in their respective country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced English&nbsp;skills are crucial to attend the programme as there is no translation available (B2 minimum). You will be tested in advance by a local Goethe-Institut.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need work experience in the field of music and we need proof of at least 3 projects you participated in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We expect your motivation for exchange and engagement in working with a diverse group in the field of music production and performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have to cover all additional expenses that might occur during your stay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All applications are for individual persons only.
