Furthermore, the scholarship covers a return airfare by the most economical route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be valid for travel from the country of origin at the beginning of the studies and back to the country of origin upon successful completion of studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for Government of Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be resident citizens of member states of the African Union or African Commonwealth countries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For undergraduate programmes, applicants should be above 18 years of age and should not have reached their 26th birthday by 01 January 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For PhD programmes, applicants should not have reached 40 years by 01 January 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must have already applied for a full-time on-campus programme (Diploma, Degree, MPhil or PhD) at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius (listed in Section 8 in the appropriate Guidelines for Applicants) for academic year starting in 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The scholarship will be for a maximum duration as indicated below or the minimum course duration whichever is lesser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undergraduate Diploma \u2013 Three (3) years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undergraduate Degree \u2013 Four (4) years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MPhil \/ PhD \u2013 Four (4) years + 6 months for the transfer from MPhil to PhD 4 PhD Three (3) years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>To participate for the Government of Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme, The following documents are available for download from the following websites (<a href=\"http:\/\/ministry-education.govmu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/ministry-education.govmu.org\/<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/highereducationmauritius.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/highereducationmauritius.com\/<\/a>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Form (Applicants are invited to fill in the form electronically before printing: Application for the scholarship can only be made on the application form, duly filled-in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidelines for Applicants: This document contains important information regarding the conditions attached to the scholarship, the application procedure, and a list of public Higher Education Institutions in Mauritius where full-time on-campus studies are run.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: May 19, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/education.govmu.org\/Pages\/Mauritius-Africa-Scholarships-Scheme-2023.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Government of Mauritius through Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology (Tertiary Education and Scientific Research Division) is<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":9821,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-9820","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
