112 LASU Students Set to Graduate with First Class Degrees- Prof. Ibiyemi.
About 112 Student of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, are set to graduate with First Class degrees at the institution’s 25th convocation, says the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello.
Prof.Olatunji-Bello revealed this at a press conference at the Senate Building of the institution on Wednesday to get journalists acquainted with the activities lined up for the ceremony.
The total number of graduating students are 7,232 in diploma, first degree, postgraduate diplomas and Masters degrees respectively. And according to Prof. Ibiyemi, 112 First class graduating students were the highest number the institution had ever produced.
Among the graduating students, “Benjamin Damilare Olowu of the Department of Mechanical Engineering emerged the overall Best graduating student, having attained a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.97 out of the entire graduating students of the University.
“Furthermore, Prof. Ibiyemi said, Two Masters’ degree students would be graduating with a 5.0 CGPA from the Department of Peace and Religious Studies and the Department of Transportation and Logistics.”
