2024 Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Program (Fully Funded)
The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP) is financed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic from the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
The provision of government scholarships of the Slovak Republic is a long-term part of the development cooperation of the Slovak Republic.
In 2024, the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic will implement bilateral development cooperation through the government scholarship program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a citizen of eligible foreign country
- Age category for the 1st and 2nd (bachelor and master) degrees of the university study is 18 – 26 years.
- Age category for the 3rd (PhD) degree of the university study is 23 – 35 years.
- Be enrolling to study an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree in a Slovakian institution
- Meet the Language requirements of the country (English, French, Slovak or Spanish)
Benefits:
- The scholarship is intended to cover international scholarship holders’ living costs, i.e. the costs related to staying in Slovakia (food, accommodation, etc.), during their study, research/artistic or teaching stay at universities, and in research organizations in Slovakia.
- The scholarship holder can ask for assistance concerning accommodation and formalities related to entering and staying in the territory of the Slovak Republic either his/her host institution, or he/she can handle all the necessities him-/herself.
- Amount of the monthly scholarship
- university students of the second level of higher education 400 €
- PhD student 734 €
Required Documents
- curriculum vitae;
- motivation letter;
- detailed study programme
- two recommendation letters issued by applicant’s university teachers
- confirmation issued by the applicant’s home university confirming that the applicant is a regular student of the respective university at the time of applying
- scan of applicant’s bachelor’s diploma, diploma supplement and state examination certificate (if applicable);
- admission/invitation letter issued by applicant’s host university in Slovakia indicating the period of stay.
