The University of Trieste has announced over 150 funded PhD positions for the academic year 2024/25.

These University of Trieste Scholarships span across a variety of cutting-edge departments, offering a unique opportunity to engage in advanced research while experiencing the rich culture and vibrant academic environment of Italy.

Interested and qualified applicants are hereby invited to apply for the scholarship as soon as possible.

Eligibility Criteria:

possess a bachelor’s degree in related field
meet the entry requirements of the University of Trieste
apply before the deadline
PhD scholarships are assigned based on a comparative evaluation of merit and following the ranking order.
Where two or more candidates score the same in the selection process, the one with the lowest family income (known as ISEE) will get preference.
Scholarships cannot be granted to students who have been awarded a doctoral scholarship before, even partially, and cannot be combined with other grants.
Along with the ordinary scholarships, a doctoral Programme may offer scholarships funded by the European Union or other international bodies.
