2024 UNESCO/IHE Delft MENA Scholarship
The Dutch Minitsry of Foreign Affairs has provided funding for the 2024 UNESCO/IHE Delft MENA Scholarship as the framework of capacity building for professionals from a certain number of regions/countries.
The IHE Delft Scholarship includes the total cost of the MSc Programme; Tuition fee, insurance, international travel cost and an allowance of €1,115 per month for the cost of living and accommodation during the complete study period.
Requirements:
- Have academic admission to the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development
- Be living and/or working in one of the eligible countries.
- Agree to conduct MSc research in their country/region associated with one of the projects implement(ed) by the Programme.
- Show active participation in and contribute to the seminars organized for the learning networks of the Programme.
- Confirm to return to country of origin or other priority country of the programme.

Selection criteria:
- Strong priority to female candidates.
- Strong motivation (you have to answer 5 motivation questions in your online application)
- Strong academic background
- Preference to candidates with relevant work experience
Eligible Countries
Nationals from the following countries are eligible for this scholarship:
- Middle East: Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Yemen
- Horn of Africa: Ethiopia, Kenya, Somali, South Sudan, (on hold right now: Sudan, Uganda)
- Sahel: Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Nigeria
- Small Island Development States (SIDS)
Belize, Cabo Verde, Comoros, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Kiribati, Maldives, Marshall Islands, - Mauritius, Federated State of Micronesia, Montserrat, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Samoa, Sao Tome & Principe, Solomon Islands, Suriname, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.

- You do not have to complete a separate application form. If you are a national from one of the eligible countries, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship
- If you are from one of these countries and interested in studying at IHE Delft, we advise you to apply for admission as soon as possible.
- You will receive the outcome of your scholarship selection by 1 July 2024
