2025 German Government Bavarian Scholarship | Fully Funded
The one-year German Government Bavarian Scholarship program promotes academic exchange and scientific cooperation between Bavaria and Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
The Bavarian Government Scholarship provides funding for foreign full-time students in diploma and master’s degree courses.
The scholarship is intended to finance postgraduate studies (i.e. Master’s programs), PhDs or one-year research stays at a state or state-funded higher education institution in Bavaria.
Requirements:
- be enrolled as full-time students or double-degree students (not possible for exchange students) at the Hochschule Hof University of Applied Sciences for the respective semester
- be academically (previous examination performance) and personally qualified. Foreign students enrolled in Bachelor courses must have achieved a minimum of 90 ECTS to be eligible.
- be in financial need.
- For the the academic year 2025/26, the Free State of Bavaria will once again be awarding one-year scholarships to graduates (with appropriate citizenship) from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Duration and Reward
- In addition to the tuition-free coverage provided by the higher institutions in Germany, the Bavarian Scholarships shall provide financial support for foreign students to cover extra costs for living and study materials during their studies at Hochschule Hof.
- The scholarship is paid out monthly €934 and amounts to €11.208 per year. Students with at least one child receive €1.094per month, which amounts to €13.128 per year.
