2025 Google Deepmind AI for Science Scholarships for Africans | Fully Funded
The Google Deepmind AI for Science Scholarships have now opened for interested and qualified Africans to pursue a postgraduate degree at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS).
The Google Deepmind AI Scholarship offers students of African origin fully-funded awards covering full tuition fees, relocation stipends, equipment, and research costs.
Students benefit from full scholarships by studying at AIMS which gives them continuous access to computing, the internet, and electricity as well as close interaction with full-time tutors and visiting professors from across the world.
Eligibility Criteria:
- be a resident in Africa at time of application*,
- be a citizen of any country in Africa,
- have completed a four-year undergraduate degree or a three-year undergraduate degree with an honors year by August 2025 (or December 2025 for southern African applicants.
- not have held a previous scholarship to study at an AIMS center.
Your undergraduate degree could be in physics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or any other discipline with a strong computational and mathematical component.
Duration and Reward
- A scholarship to fully fund their postgraduate degree at a partner university (up to two years)
- Stipend to cover housing and living costs
- Stipend for travel and relocation costs to attend the partner university
