2025 MTN Scholarship for Undergraduates
MTN Scholarship Scheme provides an annual platform for recognizing and rewarding dedicated, high performing students across Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
Every year, the MTN Foundation offers a N300,000 reward to undergraduate Nigerian students in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Requirements:
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to Nigerian students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is open to 300 level students while the MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level Blind students.
- However, for blind students studying Law, which is a 5 years course, only 300 level students can apply for the MTN Scholarship.
- MTN will also award the top 10 UTME candidates with scholarships from their 100 level through to graduation upon meeting grade requirements.
CGPA Requirements Include;
- The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- STEM Students in Public Universities, and Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second class upper credit)
- STEM Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program.
- Direct Entry level STEM students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and must have secured admission into 300 level/3rd year in a Public University.
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- Blind Students in the Universities or Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5
- Blind Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program.
Duration and Reward
- On annual basis, a minimum of 500 students are awarded Scholarships of ₦300, 000.00 (Three hundred thousand Naira) each to cover tuition, book allowances and living stipend for one academic year.
- Under the first phase of the project, the MTNF Scholarship award was presented to 500 successful candidates in 2nd year of study in science & technology related disciplines across 44 Federal & State owned tertiary institutions.
