2025 University of Kent Burnett Scholarship in UK | Fully Funded

Africans willing to study in the United Kingdom can now apply for the University of Kent Burnett Scholarship.

The Burnett Scholarship presents a fully funded award that covers full tuition fees, a £19,237 stipend for one year and travel expenses to and from the UK.

The University of Kent is pleased to announce the inaugural Burnett Scholarship scheme for 2025/26 for the DICE Masters’ course for applicants from Africa’s KAZA region.

Through the generosity of the Notsew Orm Sands Foundation, the university will be offering up to six scholarships in 2024, and for the next two years.

The successful applicant will receive a fully funded studentship on our taught Masters’ course in Conservation Science.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be nationals of, or have official refugee status in, Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
  • Have at least two years of work experience in the conservation sector.
  • Be in possession of a good undergraduate degree, with a minimum of a UK 2:1 or equivalent.
  • Meet the UK Visas and Immigration specifications and University of Kent English language requirements.

Benefits:

  • The Burnett Scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend and travel expenses to and from the UK.
  • The scholarship is for the Taught Master’s course offered at DICE in Conservation Science starting in September 2025.
