9 Corps Members to Repeat Service Year in Abia State.
According to the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Jingi Denis, nine corps members out of 870 of 2021 Batch “A”, Stream II, will be repeating the service year due to abscondment during the passing out parade of the stream, according to him, the decision is in line with the NYSC rules and regulations.
He also added that one corps member will be receiving State Honours Award “in recognition of his outstanding performance during his stay in Abia state”, while five others will be receiving commendation certificates.
He informed the outgoing corps members that their respect for the oath they took during their induction ceremony and the landmark they made during their stay in the state will continue to be in the record books of the state.
During his speech at the passing out parade, Mr. Dennis urged them not to be afraid the unknown labor market as the scheme has empowered them through skills acquisition while in camp to become self reliant and independent business owners.
