Samuel Dedetoku, professionally known as Sam Dede born on November 17, 1965 in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian veteran actor, director, politician, and educator.
He attended Government Comprehensive Secondary School for his primary and secondary studies. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt. After his National Youth Service (NYSC), Dede returned to the University of Port Harcourt. This time, he studied and bagged a Master’s Degree in Theatre Arts.
Sam Dede began his career in Nollywood in 1995 and rose to notoriety thanks to his participation in the film, Ijele. For his role in the 2004 film, The Mayors, he earned the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2005.
