MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program 2024-2025 (Fully Funded)
The MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Program 2024-25 offers fully funded scholarships for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Egypt and Lebanon. Funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), this program empowers students in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Participants will study at top American-style universities, including the American University of Beirut, the American University in Cairo, and the Lebanese American University, developing essential leadership skills through academic excellence and hands-on learning experiences.

Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate Program
- Current high school seniors or applicants who graduated high school in 2024.
- Applicants from Iraq, Libya, Syria, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen who graduated high school in 2023 are also eligible.
- Current high school seniors must maintain high academic achievement and pass their leaving exam.
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English; minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80 required within two years of admission date (August 2025).
- Demonstrate financial need; provide supporting financial documentation.
- Ability to travel and start the undergraduate program in August 2025.
- Strong academic credentials, maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential.
Graduate Program:
- Evidence of academic English proficiency as required by the relevant graduate program.
- Commitment to completing the master’s degree within two academic years.
- Meet admission requirements at the host university; additional information is available on each institution’s website.
- Demonstrate financial need; provide supporting financial documentation.
- Ability to travel and start the graduate program in August 2025.
- Strong academic credentials, maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential.
Required Documents:

- Valid passport
- Personal statement (500 words) or 5-6 minute video
- Social Responsibility Essay (500 words)
- For undergraduates: transcripts for grades 10-12 and graduation certificate
- For graduates: undergraduate transcript and graduation certificate
- Certificates of extracurricular or volunteer activities
- Completed Financial Statement (PDF link)
- English exam results (if applicable)
- SAT I or SAT II scores (for American-style high schools)
- Brief online English assessment results
- Two letters of recommendation
- TOEFL or IELTS scores (if selected)
