Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarships UK 2025 | Fully Funded
The Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is for students from eligible low and middle income Commonwealth countries to study approved master’s programmes at King’s College London.
The Kings College Commonwealth Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity that covers airfare, and full tuition fees, and provides a £1,690 monthly stipend, as well as study and clothing grants.
The Kings College Commonwealth Shared Scholarship offers awards for students from eligible low and middle income Commonwealth countries to study approved master’s programmes at King’s College London (KCL).
The 2025/26 Commonwealth Shared Scholarships Scheme (CSSS) awards at King’s College London are open to students applying for the following campus-based full-time Master’s programmes only:
- MSc Mental Health Studies
- MSc Global Mental Health
- MSc Palliative Care
- MRes Clinical Research
Requirements:
- Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2025.
- By September 2025, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
- Not have studied or worked for more than one (academic) year or more in a high-income country
- Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
- Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format by the given deadlines (see ‘Application Process’).
In addition, applicants must:
- Meet the relevant entry requirements for their chosen degree programme and be sufficiently fluent in English to pursue the course.
- Be willing to confirm that they will return to their home country as soon as the period of study is complete.
Benefits:

- Monthly Stipend at the rate of £1,347 per month, or £1,652 per month
- Travel Costs from the Scholar’s home country to the UK and return at the end of the award

By the deadline of 16:00 (UK Time) on 12 December 2024, apply to the CSC via the CSC’s online application system. For further details, click here.
- By the deadline of 08 January 2025, submit a complete King’s College London online admissions application for any of the approved master’s programmes.
- Within the “Funding” screen of your King’s admissions application, please tick option 5, and add in “CSSS2025” to the “award scheme code or name” field.
NB: applicants are encouraged to submit both applications as soon as possible.
Failure to meet the respective application deadlines (given above) means that the applicant will be ineligible and won’t be considered for the scholarship opportunity.
