Tokyo City University Scholarship 2026 in Japan | Fully Funded

The Gotoh Educational Corporation Tokyu Group in Japan has called for applications for the 2026 Tokyo City University Scholarship (TCU) for prospective candidates.

The TCU Scholarship 2026 offers a fully funded opportunity that covers tuition fees, ¥1 million stipend per month, and accommodation for selected candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • have completed a total of 16 years of education in his/her country.
  • excel both academically and personally, and can be expected to make significant contributions in research and to the internationalization of the university.
  • fulfill the purpose of this scholarship, it is limited to those applicants who are within two years of obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
  • have achieved academic results within the top ten percent at a university within the top ten percent of universities in your country.
  • be able to submit a letter of recommendation from the president of the university where the above results were achieved.
  • be enrolled in a master’s degree course, and to continue to a doctoral degree course at TCU Graduate School.
  • not be receiving any other scholarships

Benefits:

  • Scholarship: the value of the scholarship is 1,000,000 Japanese Yen per year (offered after entering Japan)
  • Tuition fee: exemption from the entrance fee and tuition fees (application fee required)
  • Accomodation Fee: full financial support of the initial and monthly rent payment of TCU designated dormitory

TCU is offering this scholarship to international students who are enrolling in a master’s course and plan to continue into a doctoral course in one of its elite graduate schools:

  • Graduate School of Integrative Science and Engineering
  • Graduate School of Environmental and Information Studies
