Queensland University of Technology Scholarship 2026 in Australia | Fully Funded
The Queensland University of Technology Scholarship is a fully funded study opportunity for international students to pursue postgraduate degrees in Australia.
The QUT Postgraduate Research Award offers a full tuition coverage scholarship, which includes a stipend rate is $37,010 per annum, and overseas health coverage.
Eligibility Criteria:
- meet QUT’s admission criteria for a research degree, which includes meeting QUT’s English language requirements
- not be in receipt of another living allowance scholarship to undertake the research degree
- enrol as a full-time, internal student (unless approval for part-time and/or external study is obtained).
Benefits:
- An annual stipend paid fortnightly to support living costs. From 1 January 2026, the annual stipend rate is $37,010 per annum (currently $33,637 for 2025)
- A maximum duration for the scholarship while undertaking a QUT PhD is 3.5 years and for a QUT MPhil is 1.75 years. This includes an extension of up to 6 months (PhD) or 3 months (MPhil), if approved for your candidature.
- This is the full-time, tax-exempt rate which will index annually.
- You will receive a tuition fee offset/sponsorship, covering the cost of your tuition fees for the first 4 full-time equivalent years of your doctoral studies or the first 2 full-time equivalent years of your master degree studies.
- International students also receive Single Overseas Health Cover if eligible.

- find a supervisor
- prepare your supporting documents
- complete your research proposal.
- Then you can submit your expression of interest (EOI) via the online form.
- If successful, you’ll receive an invitation to submit your final application. It usually takes between 6 to 8 weeks from submitting your EOI until you receive your admission outcome.
