The Shoprite Bursary is designed to support talented Chartered Accounting students by funding their studies and providing a pathway to join the company’s Finance team after graduation. Alongside financial assistance, the initiative connects recipients to career opportunities within Shoprite, ensuring a smooth transition into the professional world.
Through the Shoprite SAICA Trainee Accountant Programme, graduates gain valuable exposure to the commerce industry, receive academic support, and benefit from mentorship by senior management. Over the three-year programme, trainees rotate across different business areas, gaining practical, hands-on experience that develops the technical skills and competencies required to meet SAICA learning outcomes and successfully prepare for the SAICA APC exam.
Eligibility Requirement:
- Must be enrolled in a BCom Accounting or BAcc (CA stream) degree.
- Maintain a minimum aggregate of 65% or higher.
- Be in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th academic year, or enrolled in PGDA/CTA.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Applicants should be 27 years of age or younger.
