The Sani Bello Foundation Scholarship Programme is one of the key initiatives established by the Sani Bello Foundation to support students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria who face financial challenges in paying their school fees. Requirements for Sani Bello Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

The Sani Bello Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is renewable annually until graduation for existing beneficiaries, provided they maintain the minimum required CGPA. New applications are accepted from students in their second year of study.

All applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Applicants must be full-time, registered students of a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria. Part-time students are not eligible.
  2. Students enrolled in private or foreign institutions are not eligible to apply.
  3. Applicants must be in their second year (200 level) at the time of application.
  4. Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits obtained from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  5. Applicants must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.
  6. Civil servants are not eligible to apply.
  7. Applicants must possess original copies of the following documents:
    • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
    • Local Government Indigene Letter
    • O’Level results
    • Secondary School Testimonial
    • Academic Transcript or Result Statement, duly signed and stamped by the institution, clearly stating the previous session’s CGPA
  8. Applicants must submit copies of all required credentials, including:
    • Online registration printout
    • Admission letter
    • School identity card printout or any valid means of school identification
    • Photocopies of departmental course registration forms
      All documents must be submitted on or before 1 March.
  9. Applicants must be indigenes of Zone C, Niger State, by any of the following:
    • Origin
    • Birth
    • Parent(s) or guardian having resided in Kontagora for 15 years or more
  10. Screening will commence immediately upon submission of documents. Applicants are therefore advised to submit their documents in person.

Applicants are required to prepare and submit the following documents to demonstrate eligibility and academic standing:

  • Proof of Identity: Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • Proof of Origin: Local Government Indigene Letter
  • Academic Credentials: O’Level results and Secondary School Testimonial
  • Academic Performance: Transcript or Result Statement clearly indicating CGPA
