Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation Chemistry Research Grant

The Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation Chemistry Research Grant is designed to assist high-achieving but financially challenged final-year students in the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry at federal and state universities across Nigeria.

The grant seeks to provide the necessary support for these students to successfully complete their research projects and make valuable contributions to the growth and advancement of chemical sciences.

Requirements for the Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation Chemistry Research Grant

• Applicants must be final-year students of Chemistry or Biochemistry in public higher institutions located in the South-West zone of Nigeria.
• A minimum C.G.P.A of 3.0 is required.
• Candidates must clearly demonstrate financial need and a strong dedication to advancing their knowledge of chemistry through research.

Selection Process

• The research proposal should include the background of the study, problem statement, scope, justification, and materials and methods. It must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words.
• The proposed research must be practical and achievable within the applicant’s final academic year.
• Proposals will be reviewed by the applicant’s supervisor and Head of Department, with consideration given to demonstrated financial need.

  • Supervisor’s attestation, signature, and date.

• Academic statement of results.
• O’Level result.
