The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG) offers a scholarship opportunity designed to support Nigerian female students pursuing undergraduate studies in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Benefits
Successful applicants for the 2026 award will receive a scholarship grant of Three Hundred U.S. Dollars ($300), which will be paid in its Naira equivalent to support their academic expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Nigerian student.
  • Must be female.
  • Must not be in the final year of study.

Required Application Documents

  • Proof of State of Origin (either a letter from your university or your local government office).
  • Two letters of recommendation from any of the following:
    • Pastor or Imam
    • Village Head
    • Local Government Chairperson
    • University Lecturer or Head of Department
  • One additional letter of recommendation from the Dean of your Faculty or the Head of your Department.
  • A photocopy of your current university student ID card.
  • A recent passport photograph.
  • A brief statement (not more than half a typed page) explaining why you need and deserve the scholarship.
  • A typed, double-spaced essay (maximum of two pages) on the topic:
    “How can Nigeria harness renewable energy and sustainable practices to create jobs and drive economic growth?”
