NNPC/NAE Overseas and Local Scholarship Award Scheme 2026
Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited, on behalf of the NNPC/NAE PSC, is dedicated to developing skilled manpower through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As part of this commitment, NAE is inviting applications from qualified and interested Nigerian graduates for the 2026/2027 Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme. The programme is offered in two categories: Overseas, for study at reputable international universities, and Local, for study at recognized universities within Nigeria.
NNPC/NAE Overseas and Local Scholarship Award Scheme Benefits
The scholarship, offered by Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited in partnership with NNPC/NAE PSC, provides comprehensive support covering tuition, textbooks, field trips, accommodation, living expenses, and a return economy ticket for a selected one-year course of study.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2026/2027 Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme, applicants must:
- Hold a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nigerian university
- Have secured admission into a Nigerian or overseas university (depending on the category applied for) for a one-year Master’s programme in a relevant field
- Be no older than 28 years as of December 31, 2026
- Have completed the one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
- Possess a valid international passport with at least one year validity from September 2026 (for overseas applicants)
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must have admission into programmes related to:
- Geosciences
- Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Subsea, Electrical/Electronics, Marine, Chemical, Offshore, Environmental, Renewable)
- Petroleum Economics
- Law (Oil and Gas/Petroleum)
Selection Process and Important Notes
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the aptitude test
- Shortlisted applicants will receive test details via SMS and email, so valid contact information is essential
- Employees of NAE, its affiliate companies, and their dependents are not eligible
- Current or past beneficiaries of similar scholarships from NAE or affiliated organizations are not eligible
- Applicants are advised to carefully review all instructions before applying, as strict adherence to guidelines is required to avoid disqualification
How to Apply
Section A: Required Documents
Before starting your application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph (450 × 450 pixels, white background, not older than 6 months)
- Provisional admission letter for the 2025/2026 postgraduate session (local or overseas), aligned with the course applied for
- First degree certificate
- NYSC discharge certificate
- Valid means of identification (Driver’s License, Voter’s Card, or National ID)
- Valid international passport data page (for overseas applicants only; must be valid for at least one year from September 2026)
- Birth certificate issued by a Local Government authority
- NAE Compliance Declaration Form
All applicants must complete and sign the NAE Compliance Declaration Form. Ensure each document is properly labeled and uploaded in the correct section to avoid errors or disqualification.
Section B: Application Process
To apply for the scholarship by Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited:
- Visit the application portal at Scholastica.ng
- Click on “Apply Now”
- Select “Register Now” to create an account
- Check your email to activate your account
- Log in using your registered email and password to complete your profile
Applicants are required to fill only the Personal Details, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate sections, and upload only relevant documents (as outlined in Section A).
- Applicants for the overseas category are also encouraged to apply for the local category
- Do not fill the Secondary School section, Bank Details, or download the undergraduate verification form
- Ensure consistency in the name used across all documents; provide a sworn affidavit if there are discrepancies
- Carefully review all uploaded documents and application details to avoid errors

Important Notes
- You may apply for both Local and Overseas categories
