Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship Program 2025 for Undergraduates
Afro-Tech Girls is on a mission to inspire and empower young women by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to thrive in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). As part of its commitment to fostering greater female participation in these fields, the Afro-Tech Girls Community proudly introduces Project 100 for 50, an impactful scholarship initiative designed to support 50 exceptional female undergraduate students currently pursuing STEM-related degrees, helping them complete their studies and kickstart successful careers in STEM.
Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship Benefits
Each selected scholar will receive a one-time grant of ₦100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) to support their university education.
This financial award is designed to ease the burden of tuition, study materials, and other academic expenses, enabling recipients to stay focused on their studies and reach their full potential. Beyond financial support, the Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship aims to empower beneficiaries with the confidence, motivation, and resources needed to complete their degrees and successfully launch their careers in the STEM industry, creating a ripple effect of innovation, leadership, and excellence among young women in Africa.
Requirements for the Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship
To be eligible for the Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a female student currently residing in Nigeria.
- Be enrolled in a public tertiary institution in Nigeria — this includes Federal, State, or Polytechnic universities.
- Be pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Maintain a minimum academic standing of Second Class Lower (2:2) or its equivalent.
Application Documents for the Afro-Tech Girls Scholarship
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- Proof of admission into a recognized tertiary institution.
- Valid means of identification (e.g., student ID card, national ID, or passport).
- Evidence of current academic standing or grade level.
- A written application (300–450 words) describing your personal background, the reason you need financial assistance, and why you believe you deserve to be selected for the scholarship.
