Ahmadu Bello University Appoints New Vice Chancellor

The Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University has appointed Prof. Adamu Ahmed as the institution’s new Vice-Chancellor. He is a faculty member in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning.

Prof. Ahmed previously served as the Director of the Directorate of University Advancement and is currently the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at the Federal University of Education, Kano.

His appointment was officially announced at 6:15 AM today (Wednesday, February 5, 2025) during the university’s 209th (Special) Council meeting, chaired by Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR.
