Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be nationals of countries that have diplomatic relations with Japan.
- Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1990.
- Applicants must have completed 12 years of schooling in countries other than Japan.
- Applicants must meet the English or Japanese language requirements set by APU.
- Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy to pursue studies in Japan.
- Applicants must be able to arrive in Japan by the designated arrival period.
- Applicants must have achieved a GPA of at least 2.30 on a 3.00 scale at their most recent university.
- Previous MEXT scholarship recipients must have more than three years of research or teaching experience to reapply.
